HeiQ is a leader in textile innovation creating some of the most effective, durable and high-performance textile technologies in the market today. The new range uses HeiQ Viroblock, a textile technology recently proven effective against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) in the laboratory. Early on, the technology, while tested against Sendai virus showed 99.2% reduction of virus in two minutes, 99.7% in just five minutes, based on modified ISO 20743 method.
Tests on SARS-CoV-2 have been conducted by HeiQ with the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity in Melbourne, Australia (Doherty Institute).The test showed that fabrics treated with this technology reduces 99.99% of the SARS-CoV-2 viruses in 30 minutes’ time..
